Rory R. Dalton, MD

Dr. Dalton graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.  He completed a surgical internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; a surgical oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia; and a pathology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  He is Board Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.  Dr. Dalton joined the practice in August, 2007.


Meryl L. Goldstein, MD, PhD
Dr. Goldstein completed her M.D. and Ph.D. at Emory University School of Medicine; Atlanta, GA. She was an intern in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Emory University Hospitals, Atlanta, GA. She completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Goldstein completed a fellowship in Anatomic Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, and a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and Cytology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, Charlottesville, VA. She also served as Instructor, Surgical Pathology and Cytology, University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, Charlottesville, VA. She is Board Certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology. She joined PML in 1999.


Eric A. Himmelfarb, MD
Dr. Himmelfarb received his medical degree from Vanderbillt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN, where he also completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He completed Fellowships in Gastrointestinal Pathology and Surgical Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He joined PML in July, 2011.


Stacey N. Ibrahim, MD
Dr. Ibrahim is a graduate of the University of the North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC. She completed her residency in Pathology and fellowship in Cytopathology at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.  She was also Laboratory Instructor in Systemic Pathology at the Duke School of Medicine, Durham, NC.  Dr. Ibrahim is Board Certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology. She joined PML in 1995.


Christopher P. Kragel, MD
Dr. Kragel attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an undergraduate. He received his medical degree at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. He completed his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL. He completed a Fellowship in Cytopathology, as well as a Fellowship in Hematopathology, at Duke University, Durham, NC. He Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Cytopathology. Dr. Kragel joined PML in July, 2015. He and his family live in Asheville, NC.


Jane E. Lysko, MD
Dr. Lysko received her medical education at the University of North Carolina; Chapel Hill, NC. She completed her residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC, in Pathology and Hematopathology. She is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She joined PML in 1986.


Tram N. Pham, MD
Dr. Pham received her medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Duke University Medial Center and a Fellowship in Dermatopathology, also at the Duke University Medical Center.  Dr. Pham is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology.  Dr. Pham most recently worked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She joined the practice in 2008.


Harold C. Poston, MD
Dr. Poston completed his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. He completed his pathology residency at the Naval Hospital and University of California at San Francisco. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He joined Pisgah Pathology in 1991 which subsequently merged with PML.


Vicky L. Rholl, MD
Dr. Rholl received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine; Minneapolis, MN. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI and her Cytopathology Fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Rholl is Board Certified in Cytopathology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She joined Pisgah Pathology in 1999 which subsequently merged with PML.


David P. Schuetze, DO
Dr. Schuetze received his medical education at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri.  He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio; a Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology at GI Pathology, PLLC, in Memphis, Tennessee; and a Fellowship in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.  Dr. Schuetze joined PML in June, 2010.


Joseph P. Sleater, MD
Dr. Sleater completed his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine; Indianapolis, IN. He completed his residency in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine; Gainesville, FL. He also completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology in the Department of Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania; Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Sleater is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology. He joined PML in 1995.


Jason T. Sprouse, MD
Dr. Sprouse received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC. Part of his training included cancer research at Linenberger Cancer Research Center, UNC, Chapel Hill, NC. He completed his residency and fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He joined PML in 2000.
